BERKELEY – Berkeley City College (BCC) begins its Spring 2010 semester at its 2050 Center St. campus, Thur., Jan. 21. Registration is open now through Sat., Feb. 6 and for short-term classes, until the day they begin. The community college enrollment fee for California residents is $26 per unit and is subject to change by the California legislature. Financial aid is available. BCC registration times are Mon. and Tue., 8 a.m.-7 p.m., and Wed. thru Fri., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
BCC’s associate degree, transfer, and job training programs accommodate those who have diverse work schedules and lifestyles. BCC’s Online Transfer College is designed for those who find it difficult to attend classes on campus and would rather work on their college courses at home or at times convenient to their schedules. Afternoon College is designed for people who work mornings or evenings. Evening and Saturday College is for those who work a 9-to-5 schedule or who have family responsibilities.
University transfer, associate degree and certificate programs are in American Sign Language, biotechnology, business, information technology, computer information systems, English, multimedia arts, fine and applied arts, international trade, liberal arts, social services, Spanish and the travel/tourism industry.
