BERKELEY – Berkeley City College begins its Fall 2009 semester in its new Center St. campus Thur., Aug. 20. Enrollment is open now through Sat., Sept. 5. Registration times are Mon. and Tue., 8 a.m.-7 p.m., and Wed. thru Fri., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Enrollment for short-term and mid-semester classes is open until the day they begin.
Berkeley City College’s (BCC’s) associate degree, transfer, and job training programs accommodate those who have diverse work schedules and lifestyles. Afternoon College is designed for people who work mornings or evenings. Evening and Saturday College is for those who work a 9-to-5 schedule or who have family responsibilities. BCC’s Online Transfer College is for those who find it difficult to attend classes on campus and would rather work on their college courses at home or at times that fit their schedules.
University transfer, associate degree and certificate programs are in American Sign Language, biotechnology, business, information technology, computer information systems, English, multimedia arts, fine and applied arts, international trade, liberal arts, social services, Spanish and in travel/tourism.
Financial aid and community college fee waivers, assessment and testing, transfer and career counseling, tutoring, college prep, re-entry and veteran's assistance are available.

The college is located one-half block from the downtown Berkeley BART station and AC Transit lines. College admissions office hours are Mon. & Tue. 8 a.m.- 7 p.m.; and Wed. thru Fri., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
