New Online Transfer Classes at Berkeley City College Starts Aug. 20

Berkeley City College’s Fall 2009 Online Transfer College
Provides Expanded Learning Options for Busy Adults

BERKELEY--In response to increased demand for online, distance education classes, Berkeley City College will offer an increased number of online transfer courses in fall 2009. Classes begin Thur., Aug. 20.

Online Transfer College allows students to complete many of their university transfer and associate degree courses online. Register online via Passport at www.berkeleycitycollege.edu (click on Enroll Now), or at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center St., between Shattuck Ave. & Milvia St., Berkeley. The college is located one-half block from the downtown Berkeley BART station and AC Transit lines. College admissions office hours are Mon. & Tue., 8 a.m.- 7 p.m.; and Wed. thru Fri., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 
Fall classes begin Thur., Aug. 20. Enrollment is open now through Sat., Sept.5. Fees are $20 per unit but are subject to change by the state legislature. Financial aid and community college fee waivers, assessment and testing, transfer and career counseling, tutoring, college prep, re-entry and veteran's assistance are available.
